I laser locked quite a few people flying helo's last night and some of them were able to avoid being blown out of the sky. I'm not sure how they did it as I'm always blown up when I get laser locked.
Does anyone know the techniques they are using? I'd love to be able to practice them. I'll look around and see if I can find anything, if so, I'll post it here. If anyone knows off hand, please let me know!

Peench,
I was able to avoid the other night by getting low in a hurry. If it's the GTAM on you, and you're low, it's likely not to strike. but we're talkin' tree-top low. takes some getting used to, and you're very vulnerable when low like that from tanks and standard engineer rockets.
Fast and low is the key, keep moving. NO hovering!
Also, if you're high when you get targeted, I've heard you can switch seats quickly and the heli will drop like a rock, resulting in a miss. but you've gotta be quick and get back in the saddle before you hit the turf.
It's really 3 things that are certain... Death, taxes, and that the OTSG Site COD2 tourney will never actually be complete! |

Cool - thanks for the suggestions! I'll have to give them a shot next time I'm flying around.

This is stuff that definitely needs to be practiced in non-ranked games.

Amen brother!
Yeah, I'll save my practice for the rounds where most everyone fends for themselves and doesn't care about the team. I guess if they do it, why shouldn't I? Then when we're ready for battle I'll assume my place where I'm needed or where I best serve the team.

One thing to never do. Never get in a copter if I was foolish enough to try to pilot. Me as pilot means it'll blow up in about thity seconds.

Nah, we had that secret BF2 forum for our clan, but since our clan never materialized I figured I would pass on all of the great information we culled together there to everyone else. What better place to put it but here in the clan forum!
Although I have noticed Keezy sniffing around my stuff...

You'll know for sure if everything is covered in an orange dust. It's hard as hell to get rid of.
